In anticipation of the sixth Global Whisky Auction, we would like to highlight some of our favourite bottles that will be going under the hammer. We have bottles from all over the whisky world which we know will satisfy many whisky cravings.
We have some great bottlings from the closed Japanese distillery Karuizawa. The one that stands out the recent Golden Geisha’s 33-Year-Old release from Elixir Distillers, only 129 of these bottles were available upon release. We also have two bottlings selected by La Maison du Whisky in France, both were distilled in 1981. First up is the 32-Year-Old “En Soi” release which has been matured in an ex-Bourbon cask and the second 31-Year-Old “Prendre le Rythme” has been matured in a Sherry Butt.
We have a beautifully presented Macallan from their Masters of Photography series. The photographer Steven Klein and the Roca brothers from the Michelin starred Spanish restaurant El Celler de Can Roca have teamed up with Macallan master whisky maker Bob Dalgarno to release a whisky that has been matured in ex-Rioja casks, a first from Macallan. With only 1000 of these sets available there is sure to be great interest in this lot.
The great Highland distillery Glendronach is well represented in this auction with eleven of the highly prized Single Cask range. There is also the 8th release in the Grandeur Series which we anticipate a great deal of interest in.
Hopefully, your appetite has been whetted by this glimpse of some of the lots on offer in the sixth Global Whisky Auction. Join us by logging on to our website and bidding on the bottles.
